At its core, the Prince George Dome is really a community centre. Centrally located, it is, and always has been, an all-weather, recreational facility for people from all over Northern BC, and specifically Prince George. People come together to participate in all kinds of different shows and activities at an affordable price and they have been doing so ever since it was constructed in 1952. It is not unusual to hear third generation skaters talk about how their mom or dad used to skate or curl here, or how inter-generational the leagues of sports are. The Dome is a bit of a time warp, but there’s not another building in Prince George that houses as many memories (and memories to come) for the citizens of our great community.
